McMasterville's aqueduc and public works operations relied on diesel-powered trucks that idled for extended periods to run hydraulic and pneumatic tools on site. That meant ongoing fuel costs, engine wear from idle hours that don't show up as kilometres, and noise on job sites in close proximity to residents.
The solution
McMasterville deployed Gamotech's power unit in a trailer configuration, allowing the tow vehicle to be freed up for other tasks rather than being dedicated to the aqueduc role full-time. The trailer delivers hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric output from battery power, so the truck's engine can be shut off entirely while crews work.
